Shane McMahon is the son of Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon is the owner of the WWE and single-handedly made professional wrestling popular throughout the world. Shane was never really into wrestling professionally but he still competed several times.
He also took extremely high risks which other wrestlers in the locker room would not dare to take during matches. Shane had a huge role backstage in WWE though. Almost as much as he had in the ring. Shane is the person that will inherit the business from his father when Vince Passes away.
Dr. Tom Prichard used to work as a trainer in the WWE during the 1990s. He actually had a huge hand in teaching Shane how to wrestle. He required the aid of the great Macho Man Randy Savage to help train Shane. Prichard spoke about Shane’s training on Taking You to School podcast.
"Randy, coming from a wrestling family too, Randy had the fundamentals and basics down and he definitely was old school obviously. [Shane] got trained by one of the greatest even it was just before the matches," stated Prichard.
"I believe that Shane was a pretty popular guy with all the boys because he did have respect and he was enthusiastic and he did have that fire in his eyes” Shane McMahon is no longer a full-time active competitor in the WWE but he still has a role backstage. He is still involved heavily backstage.
