Sonya Deville reveals which wrestlers stuck out to her

Sonya Deville is a wrestler, a former mixed martial artist and a former American judoka of Italian origins currently under contract with WWE, where she fights on the SmackDown roster. In the summer of 2015 she participated in the WWE reality show, Tough Enough, placing himself in tenth place.

Following her elimination, she signed a contract with WWE and was sent to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. She has since performed in WWE's developmental territory NXT and its main roster as a solo competitor and in a tag team alongside Mandy Rose dubbed Fire and Desire.

In mixed martial arts, she has competed in three matches, holding a record of 2–1. Speaking with RondaRousey.com, Sonya revealed which wrestlers stuck out to her: “I always liked Becky Lynch. She was always, to me, just different and unique, and she was always a badass.

I think she still is. Charlotte… I liked how strong she was and how she kind of redefined femininity for me. She didn’t fit in the perfect square mold of what it means to be a Diva, to say, back in the day. She kind of reinvented the meaning of the women’s wrestler.

And Lita, obviously, from back in the day. I mean she stood out to me because she was a tomboy living in a world of super girly Divas at the time”.
