Chris Jericho on Editing Nyla Rose Interview

Chris Jericho is one of the most successful professional wrestlers in the world. He can still compete at the highest level, even though he started wrestling more than 20 years ago. He is the current All Elite Wrestling World Champion.

On the recent episode of the Talk is Jericho, he spoke about editing some portions of that episode. His guest was Nyla Rose, who is a transgender athlete and the current AEW Women’s Champion. Jericho was forced to edit out the comments about Trump and trans people from the episode.

"[Trump] was talking about [transpeople competing in sport] and like [Rose] said, I don't know the facts," Jericho reflected. "I don't know if [Trump] knows the facts. And when I played it back, out of respect for [Rose] and knowing [her], I said, 'I'm just going to edit this out' because I don't know enough about it and I don't know if [Trump] knows enough about it because he's just talking as he would." Jericho also spoke about how Rose has the same estrogen levels as that of people that are born as women.

Jericho states that nobody can say that trans people are generally stronger than females. "To keep going back to the estrogen levels," Jericho said [imitating detractors], "Wow, it's a man wrestling a woman' or whatever, it's not because [Rose] now [has] the same estrogen levels as a woman, so maybe [Rose] might be bigger, but that physical strength that you would get from the testosterone of being a male is not there anymore."
