John Cena made his long-awaited WWE return recently. He returned during last week’s WWE Smackdown episode which aired on FOX. Ever since joining Hollywood and quickly becoming one of the top action heroes in the world, he has taken a part-time WWE role.
He used to be a full-time WWE wrestler, but these days he is focusing on his Hollywood career. That being said, WWE managed to acquire his services yet again, and he will face Bray Wyatt in a singles match at WrestleMania 36.
Bray Wyatt recently lost his WWE Universal Title to Bill Goldberg at the WWE Super Showdown PPV event. Cena spoke about the segment on Twitter. "Want to thank @WWEonFOX and more importantly @WWEUniverse for such an emotional experience on #Smackdown," Cena wrote.
"I went to Boston to say 'goodbye' but realized that no matter where life takes me, @WWE is always home. Now, onto #WrestleMania!" At the moment, we do not know when Cena will return to Smackdown to continue the feud.
John Cena was the face of WWE for a really long-time. He was almost part of every major WWE storyline and has worked as a babyface for a really long-time. Even though Cena has returned, it is highly unlikely that we will ever see him return to a full-time WWE role. Bray Wyatt on the other hand, needs to put Cena away to recover from his loss that he suffered at Super Showdown.
