XFL Season Has Been Cancelled

The XFL Season was recently cancelled and will not finish its season. This is not due to the rapid decline of rating though. XFL has joined the league of most of the sports world. Other sports events have also been cancelled recently.

XFL played for five weeks before being cancelled. The coronavirus is the culprit behind this. The virus is slowly and steadily spreading across the globe. A few states have actually banned about 250 people from going to arenas.

XFL just released a statement. They stated that all of their players will get their base salary and the benefits that go with it. Ticket holders will be given full refunds or they will be given credit for future games. "Currently, the XFL will not be playing its regular-season games.

However, all players will be paid their base pay and benefits for the 2020 regular season. All XFL ticket holders will be issued refunds or credit toward future games. The XFL is committed to playing a full season in 2021 and future years."

Before everything was shut down, the Seattle Dragon was set to play against the Los Angeles Wildcats inside an empty stadium. MLB, NHL, NCAA (including the NCAA Tournament), boxing and MMA events have also been cancelled.

Some of the will go ahead, but they will be without the presence of fans. WWE will be holding Smackdown at the WWE Performance Center. Ring of Honor, AEW and NJPW also have to reschedule their events.
