XFL Cancels Remaining Season

The XFL is a football league and is owned by Vince McMahon. The XFL announced that they will not relaunch their season. They have canceled their entire 2020 season. The statement was made by XFL Commissioner & CEO Oliver Luck and XFL President & COO Jeffrey N.

Pollack recently. At the end of the statement, they said that they will be looking forward to the 2021 season. No details for the next season have been given so far. Only 5 weeks were played this year. This year’s season was suspended on the 12th of March.

XFL assured fans that all of the players will be paid with benefits for 2020 season. All of this is happening due to the coronavirus Pandemic! The virus has affected the entire world! A number of countries have asked their people to work from home.

Some cities are under lockdown. People have started stocking up on food and toilet paper. The virus is extremely dangerous. Unlike the common flu virus, humans have never been infected by the CORVID-19 in history. We do not know how much this virus can affect mankind and when we will be able to get rid of it for good.

At the moment, we have no vaccine for it. Since it is very contagious, many sports events had to be cancelled around the world. Even WWE has to conduct its shows from its Performance Center. Most shows take place inside an empty arena.

There is no crowd to cheer or boo the wrestlers when they perform. Even WrestleMania 36 will be held inside the WWE Performance Center. There will be no crowd in attendance for the mega event. All matches that were scheduled for the event will be going ahead.
