On March 10th, in Fastlane, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre were defeated by the Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins). In Raw's March 18th episode, Corbin was defeated by Apollo Crews. In the March 25 episode of Raw Corbin defeated Apollo Crews in the rematch of the week before.

As part of the 2019 draft, Corbin was drafted to SmackDown brand. At Crown Jewel, Corbin was a member of Team Flair, where they lost to Team Hogan. In November, Corbin began a feud with Roman Reigns. At Survivor Series, Corbin was a member of Team SmackDown and caused his Team SmackDown partner Mustafa Ali to be eliminated, which then led to team captain Roman Reigns performing a spear on Corbin that caused him to be eliminated, while Reigns went on to win the match for his team.

On the latest edition of After the Bell, he commented on Matt Hardy thanking him for being a true heel: “Matt Hardy pulled me aside on a Europe tour and he’s like, ‘Man, I want to say thank you, because you’re a true heel, dude, and you don’t care about what the internet says or what people says, and it’s really hard to do now days, and I appreciate it.’ And then I’m going, alright, I’m good for like two years, bro, I don’t need another compliment, because you’re getting it from people who matter.

I want to be the guy that everybody is going, ‘Put me with Corbin, I want to draw some money with Corbin.’ I want Lesnar to go, ‘Hey, I want to work with him,’ or The Rock to go, ‘If I’m coming back for one more match, it’s with Corbin.' ”
