Teddy Long on Chris Benoit

Chris Benoit was a very popular WWE wrestler. He tragically passed away many years ago. He took his own life, after murdering his wife and child. According to reports, Chris was suffering from CTE, which is a brain degenerative disorder.

That actually caused him to kill his wife and child in a fit of rage. Of course, that could never actually be proven. According to speculation, his CTE was probably a result of taking too many chair shots to the head and his headbutt dives.

Teddy Long worked with Chris Benoit in the past. Teddy knew Benoit very well and recently spoke about him on the Wrestling Inc. Daily. "Chris was such a nice guy and you would never believe something like that would have went down.

Chris Benoit would give you the shirt off his back and also Nancy was the same way. If people can remember, she was the manager for Butch Reed and Ron Simmons before I got them. They were called Doom but they had the hoods on and I was the one that took the hoods off them.

My thing was these are two pretty black men that you got covered up and let's get these masks off and let the pretty ladies see what they look like. So she had a chance to manage them before I got them." WWE was planning to hold an angle in which Vince McMahon would end up dead.

They had to hold it back after Benoit was found dead. That was the topic of discussion during the podcast. “"That Corpus Christi TV was the day we were gonna have Vince McMahon's funeral. They had the coffin and everything there,” said Long.
