Vince McMahon took a very brave decision by going ahead with WrestleMania 36 this year. Vince is known for being a big risk-taker. Even this big pandemic didn’t stop him from holding the biggest wrestling event in the world.
WrestleMania 36 took place inside the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Only a few matches took place at different venues, which were not traditional matches. For example, the Boneyard match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles took place at some undisclosed location.
Bubba Ray Dudley, it a WWE Hall of Famer, and also a former member of the legendary Dudley Boyz. He spoke about WrestleMania 36 on the Busted Open Radio recently. He found Charlotte vs Ripley to be the most exciting match. "So, I had two.
When you talk about a typical match that happens in the ring, I thought about it a little more," Dudley informed. "If I had a gun to my head and had to pick one. [Dudley backtracks his initial statement] So, the two [I had picked] were Seth Rollins/Kevin Owens and Rhea Ripley/Charolette.
"But, Seth and Kevin's got restarted, and it turned into a No DQ match, where it wasn't as traditional. Rhea and Charolette was traditional. It happened in the ring. It was about the spirit of the fight, and about the credibility of a championship.
I felt like I was watching two Amazon warriors going to battle. I've got to give the match to Rhea and Charolette, as far as the best match overall in the two nights." WrestleMania 36 was overall well received by the fans.
Most people didn’t even notice that it took place inside an empty arena. It might actually be a very special event, as it is likely that The Undertaker will never wrestle again.
