What are WWE's plans for Backlash?

After attending another historic ppv half done at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and half recorded by the Titan Towers of Stamford, headquarters of the federation headquarters in the state of Connecticut, Money in the Bank has finally gone to the archives, with WWE immediately turned the page, starting to prepare for several days the plans for the next exclusive PPV of the company's main roster, which will be aired after the special event of NXT, or NXT In Your House, which will air on June.

Just a week after the return of the brand In Your House, WWE will broadcast a new chapter of the ppv Backlash and for the occasion these should be the match plans that we should see in exactly almost a month. Edge and Randy Orton are scheduled to have their umpteenth match in that of Backlash, with the two who should thus put a new point to their feud after the great Last Man Standing match of Wrestlemania.

Bobby Lashley should have a major match that would allow him to aspire to a title shot no less than for the WWE Title currently held by Drew McIntyre, with the talent of Kansas who should rely on the advice of MVP as his new manager.

After the different segments that saw Street Profits and Viking Riders potagonists, we expect a likely match between the two teams of the red show. Shayna Baszler seems to be the next opponent of the new champion Asuka. Backlash is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2020.

It will be the fifteenth event in the Backlash chronology and the first Backlash since 2018. The event continued annually until 2009, which was the final event until 2016. It was brought back that year following the reintroduction of the brand extension, where WWE again split its roster between the Raw and SmackDown brands, represented by the shows of the same name.
