Edge accepts The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever challenge; swipes at fans

During the Royal Rumble that aired in early 2020, the most sensational surprise was the return of the WWE Hall of Famer, Edge, which after nine years away from the WWE rings, returned to tread a ring of the McMahon family, although the fans didn't have the slightest hope of seeing him back in action in the pro-wrestling rings.

Several fans, however, did not like the return of the Canadian legend. To these fans, although he looked to be in an enviable physical form that could be compared to that of a twenty-year-old, he still left them feeling a little doubtful, with several WWE Universe fans attacking him on the various social media channels.

On Monday Night RAW, Edge accepted Randy Orton's challenge of taking him on what Orton termed, "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever" This, too, has irked some fans. During the past few hours, in fact, Edge has responded to the many fans who accused him of being too old for wrestling, with the former WWE Champion retorting: "You have no idea what I have planned.

And for this, you have no idea what you are talking about. Do all the stories you've read or the movies you've seen end up the same way? Because it sounds terribly boring to me. So you can complain, or let go of that 'smart fan' and try to enjoy something and look at the paradigm of being able to change and play."
