During the last episode of the red show, which aired tonight from the Orlando Performance Center, a fearsome new opponent showed up in the presence of the WWE champion, admitting that he had targeted his belt. We are talking about Bobby Lashley, who woke up thanks to MVP after a period in mid-carding.
During the episode, in fact, MVP reached Lashley, already assisted during the stint of both at Impact Wrestling, reminding him that he had no chance for the main title for many years now. The manager insisted that he didn't want to get in the middle of Bobby and Lana's wedding, but at the same time insinuated that Bobby was content with having a beautiful wife, putting aside his great fighting potential.
Lashley thought about it and, after defeating R-Truth for the umpteenth time, he sided with MVP. The two showed up on stage before the main event, which involved the champion Drew McIntyre and King Corbin, and Bobby said he was interested in the WWE title and wanted to tear it from the Scotsman's hands.
During Lashley's first tenure with WWE, he was a two-time ECW World Champion and one-time United States Champion. Lashley is also known for his work in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling/Impact Wrestling, where he was a four-time TNA/Impact World Champion, a one-time X Division Champion, and one-time and final King of the Mountain Champion.
After returning to WWE in 2018, Lashley would become a two-time Intercontinental Champion. Between WWE and TNA/Impact, Lashley has won a total of eleven championships, six of those eleven being world championships, and has also headlined multiple pay-per-view events.
