WWE to pay respects and tribute to the late Shad Gaspard

The whole world of wrestling has been shaken by the tragic death of Shad Gaspard, also known for his past in Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment where he formed the tag team 'Cryme Time' together with JTG. The body of the New York athlete was found on the night of May 19-20 on the beach of Venice Beach, California, after being sucked into the open sea by a strong current when he was out on the water with his ten-year-old son (who was also swept into the sea but was rescued by rescuers).

Reached by TMZ, Triple H wanted to remember Shad and said he was anticipating a possible tribute to SmackDown.

“On Wednesday night at NXT we put together something, I'm sure we will do more in view of SmackDown," Triple H said.

"He was an exceptional boy. Shad was one of those people that everyone loved. Stephanie McMahon and I had met him about six months ago, we were at FOX for a meeting and he was leaving the hall just as we were entering.

Thank goodness her son is fine. Just think that he sacrificed his life to save that of his son, there is nothing else to add. He was really a great man and what happened is tragic. All my thoughts and prayers go to his wife, his children and all his family."

Several of Shad Gaspard's former colleagues paid their respects to him. One such person was the 39-year-old's former Tag teammate JTG, who shared an emotional video of his friend and teammate.
