In recent weeks, the World Heavyweight champion, also seen in the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) rings in a match against Braun Strowman, Tyson Fury has repeatedly teased Monday Night Raw's absolute champion, Drew McIntyre.
After having challenged him to a wrestling match, Tyson Fury waited for the response of the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment Champion which was not long in coming, with Drew McIntyre who willingly accepted the challenge, responding with these simple but clear words to the English champion: "Tyson Fury is an intelligent man, he immediately gets to the point.
WWE is a global company that reaches 800 million homes worldwide, in 180 different countries, with different languages and has over a billion followers on social media. So how long would it take to see a big battle between me and him in a 'Battle of Britain' one day? Do you organize a pay-per-view in the UK? And it's done.
I am not waiting for anything else."
Drew McIntyre's WWE Journey
The Scottish superstar returned to Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment in April 2017 and joined the developmental brand NXT, where he won the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, becoming the first man to win the championship in his TakeOver in-ring debut and the first WWE wrestler to hold it after having previously won a championship on the main roster.
Upon returning to WWE's main roster in 2018, Drew McIntyre won the Raw Tag Team Championship with Dolph Ziggler, became the winner of the 2020 men's Royal Rumble match, and defeated Brock Lesnar for the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment Championship at WrestleMania 36, while also becoming the thirty-first Triple Crown champion in the process.
