In 2018 and 2019, Becky Lynch was elected as Female Superstar of the Year and in 2018 she was also awarded the Match of the Year award (against Charlotte Flair ad Evolution) by WWE; readers of Pro Wrestling Illustrated and Wrestling Observer News voted her Woman of the Year (acknowledgements repeated in 2019), while CBS Sport elected her Wrestler of the Year.
On August 5, 2019, WWE and 2K Sports announced the presence of Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns on the cover of the WWE 2K20 game; Becky, therefore, was the first female superstar to be featured on the game cover. In 2018, Lynch transitioned towards a more aggressive character, starting at SummerSlam when she attacked Charlotte Flair, presenting herself as an unfairly-treated underdog and dubbing herself "The Man," resulting in a large increase in her popularity and fan support.
She won a Royal Rumble match and at WrestleMania 35, in what was the first time women headlined a WrestleMania event, Lynch won both the Raw Women's Championship and SmackDown Women's Championship, making her a double champion, the only woman to hold both titles simultaneously, and a four-time women's champion in WWE.
Becky Lynch on how her life has changed
Speaking with ESPN, Becky Lynch revealed how her life has changed: “Apart from now being pregnant, I think personally just being happy. I have a great family, great friends and now a new family.
It’s weird. I don’t know that life has even changed that much, apart from the obvious. But it’s one of those things where no matter what goal you achieve, no matter where you get to on your journey, you always have an idea of what it’s going to look like or how you’re going to be, but really you’re the same person.
You’ve just done some cool things. And then you move on to the next cool thing. I remember in 2019 everybody asking how are you going to top this year. And I had absolutely no idea, and here I am topping last year!”
