Kurt Angle Refused to Manage WWE Smackdown Star Matt Riddle

Kurt Angle spoke to Tim Adams of CBR about refusing to manage Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment Smackdown Superstar, Matt Riddle. Kurt Angle is a legendary Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famer. Angle wrestled some of the best stars in Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and he was the first Olympic Gold Medalist who joined Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment more than 15 years ago.

Matt Riddle recently joined Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Smackdown. Angle was the special guest referee during Riddle’s cage match against Timothy Thatcher. That match was the end of Riddle’s NXT run. Kurt Angle praised Riddle on CBR going as far as to say that Riddle can be the new face of Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment.

Angle stated that Riddle has all the ingredients required that will make him the top superstar.

Angle also introduced the teaser vignette for Riddle's official debut a while ago.

"I think that Matt Riddle is going to be one of the faces of the [Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment], he has all the ability. His personality is great. At first, it's a little odd. But once you get to know him, he's very likeable," Angle said.

"And that's what he's going to get from the fans. They're going to love this kid. And he proves it in the ring. He's phenomenal in the ring. There's no doubt about that. But his whole bro gimmick thing works really well.

And he's going to do extremely well. "WWE has offered me a job to manage him. Unfortunately, I turned it down due to a few different reasons, but I would have loved to manage him. It just wasn't the right time."

Matt Riddle is known for calling out different superstars, including superstars such as Bill Goldberg, and Brock Lesnar. Unlike most other professional wrestlers, Riddle actually started working as a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter before joining the world of professional wrestling. That is the reason why he is so good at executing complex wrestling moves with relative ease.
