News on Adam Cole's contract status

In recent days we have reported the fact that Adam Cole could be very close to a promotion in the WWE main roster, after the recent ascent to Smackdown of Matt Riddle, former tag team champion of the yellow roster and with Dominick Dijakovic who apparently should instead shortly go to Monday Night Raw.

As stated by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, in fact, Adam Cole would be very close to going on the main roster. The well-known Observer journalist has in fact estimated his passage in the two main brands of the Mcmahon company in at least 6 of the next months.

Many other sites and fans, however, have been reporting for a few weeks the rumor that Adam Cole would be dissatisfied with his life in WWE, with the AEW option that would be very close to him and above all suitable, also having his girlfriend who works with America's second-most important airline, Britt Baker and having seen him appear in a photo at a party of wrestlers coming from All Elite Wrestling.

Apparently, according to new information coming from the overseas Wrestling Inc site, the contract that currently binds the NXT absolute champion with the company should end next August, with Adam Cole who therefore still has a few months ahead of him for to be able to renegotiate an important new agreement, perhaps also making use of its passage on the main roster, which has recently been rumored.

Should the current champion of the yellow roster make the "big jump" to Raw or Smackdown, his engagement would go up even more than that currently perceived, just as done in the past by all the other fighters who have moved from NXT to the main brand.

Considering also the fact that his opponent of NXT: TakeOver In Your House, Velveteen Dream, is considered by the WWE management as a new landing in the main roster, just like Adam, it is very likely that the title of NXT Champion will remain alongside Adam Cole still for some time, before the natural expiration of his contract.

Before signing with WWE in 2017, Adam Cole was mostly known for his eight-years tenure with Ring of Honor (ROH) where he became the first-ever three-time ROH World Champion. In addition, Adam Cole is a one-time ROH World Television Champion and the winner of the 2014 ROH Survival of the Fittest tournament.

Cole has also wrestled for several independent promotions, including Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), where he is a former CZW World Junior Heavyweight Champion, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), where he was a former PWG World Champion.
