Bayley and Sasha Banks become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

After the many surprises in WWE in recent weeks, seen both on Monday Night Raw and on Friday Night Smackdown, the episode aired last night on Fox, gave WWE Universe fans an unforgettable evening, with the show's absolute champion Bayley and her friend Sasha Banks, who finally managed to get their hands once again on the company's female tag team titles, after their first historic reign.

Just in the main event of the evening, in fact, the two friends managed to defeat the now ex-champions Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss, thus winning their second reign as couple champions of the federation, after the first that had been lost against IIconics at Wrestlemania 35 and who had started a long crisis in the private and professional life of ex Raw champion, Sasha Banks.

After returning after several months of absence from the WWE scenes, with a return that seemed increasingly distant, given the crisis with the federation and Vince McMahon in particular, Sasha Banks has finally reappeared on WWE TV screens, finally returning to make a couple with her friend from NXT's time, Bayley.

After a brief feud between the two teams, the showdown finally came in the episode of the blue show tonight, where the team formed by Bayley and Sasha Banks beat the one formed by the Cross and Alexa Bliss, in a very intense match, which was dominated most of the time by Sasha Banks against Nikki Cross.

In the end, the victory came with a simple roll-up, which allowed the "Smackdown friends" to receive their second reign as a couple of champions in WWE, with Bayley now holding two belts and who will continue to perform alongside her friend Sasha Banks, also in the next episodes of Friday Night Smackdown, with a split that seems so far away.

Sasha Banks became the first women to headline a WWE pay-per-view event and the first to compete in a Hell in a Cell match (both at Hell in a Cell in October 2016), the first women to main event Raw in a women's match since 2004 and the first women to win the Pro Wrestling Illustrated award for Feud of the Year.

In February 2019, she won the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with her tag team partner, Bayley (together known as The Boss 'n' Hug Connection), at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
