Elias possibly out 8 months after injury

In recent weeks, Elias' injury has caused quite a stir and in particular, the way in which this unexpected stop took place. The wrestler, a few weeks ago in Smackdown, was hit by Jeff Hardy's car outside the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Performance Center in Orlando, although in reality it was later highlighted that it was the much-discussed angle born from the feud between the same Jeff Hardy and Sheamus.

During Friday night of the blue roster, Michael Cole gave further updates about the athlete's condition stating that the situation could be much more serious than expected. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has returned to the situation and clarified that Elias' prognosis has arrived and is not very good.

The stop does not reflect the expectations initially forecast in 60 days, but there may be surgery and the situation promises to be more serious. The Drifter reported the tearing of some ribs and the pectoralis muscle.

Elias will require surgery after injury

The longtime Wrestling Observer reporter said: "Typically this injury could keep the wrestler still for up to eight months, but the parties hope to reduce the time through surgery.

From the top of the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), they confirm that the injury is serious enough, but there is still no confirmation of a possible surgery "Elias will, therefore, remain stationary for some time, will have the opportunity to focus on his recovery and perhaps on his passion for music.

A few months ago WWE announced that the wrestler was no longer able to play his guitar due to an injury caused by King Corbin. Here is the release published by WWE (and the result of a storyline) about the athlete's condition: "Elias' musical abilities have been jeopardized by multiple injuries.

As anticipated by The Bump, Elias reported a bruise to the larynx and a fracture to a middle finger and a little finger of the hand at the end of the recent attack suffered by King Corbin." Elias participated in the Royal Rumble match at the namesake pay-per-view and entered at #2 but was eliminated by the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

The following Friday on Smackdown, Elias interrupted Sami Zayn and Cesaro and thwarted an attack by Cesaro. Elias would then begin a feud with King Corbin defeating him at Wrestlemania 36 at night one of the events with a roll-up pin.

On the May 15 episode of SmackDown, Elias defeated King Corbin again during the first round of the tournament for the vacant Intercontinental Championship.
