During the last episode of Friday Night SmackDown, aired this night by the Orlando Performance Center, a match was held to decree the first female title challenger of the blue show, currently in Bayley's life. To contend for the possibility of fighting for this belt were Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke.
In the finale, Alexa was out of the game and Evans knocked Brooke out with her Women's Right, but Nikki took advantage of it immediately, grabbing the Marine girl behind her and putting her back on the ground with a Schoolgirl Pin, which proved to be fundamental.
The former Sanity member then celebrated with her friend Alexa Bliss, then the two had a short face-to-face meeting with Bayley and Sasha Banks. The two couples have faced each other for months for the couple titles, but at Extreme Rules, only the champion of the blue show and the crazy scots and the stakes will be the single title.
Bayley has had quite the reign as SmackDown Women's Champion, defending it with the help of Banks several times. It will be interesting to see if Bliss will accompany Cross to the ring to help even the odds and keep Banks out of the match, which could be just the thing Cross needs to take the belt and start her own run as Champion.
Nikki Cross will face Bayley
Extreme Rules will take place on the night between 19 and 20 July and the PPV was initially scheduled to take place at the SAP Center in San Josè, but will obviously be held at the Orlando Performance Center due to the ongoing pandemic and will have a strange main theme, as it is advertised as a "horror show"
In addition to the aforementioned SmackDown Women's Title clash between Nikki Cross and Bayley, two other titled matches have already been announced. On Monday in Raw, two rather unexpected rivals came forward for the current champions of the red show.
Dolph Ziggler, a member of SmackDown until last week, made his debut on the red show by immediately challenging the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, while Sasha Banks decided to try to reach her friend Bayley, who owns two titles, challenging Asuka for the female title of Raw.
There are still no official sources that confirm that the match between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt will be valid for the Universal Title, but most likely we will have them soon.
