WWE reveals new United States Championship

Not long ago the total restyling of the Intercontinental belt took place, currently owned by AJ Styles. Recall that the Intercontinental Title was left vacant by Sami Zayn during this pandemic period and is now in the life of Styles, who made his debut on the red roster to participate in the tournament valid to win this title and triumphed by defeating a Daniel Bryan in the final in excellent shape.

It had been rumored for a long time that the United States belt would probably soon have had a new face too. Currently, the belt is held by Apollo Crews, who defeated Andrade in the episode of the red show on May 25th. WrestleVotes, a source that has often proven to be reliable, has revealed through its social networks that probably the new United States belt will be revealed precisely during the episode of Raw which will be aired tonight from the Orlando Performance Center.

MVP and Bobby Lashley unveiled the new WWE United States Championship Belt on Monday Night Raw, with MVP stating that his win over the current US Champion Apollo Crews last week makes him the belt's rightful owner. The new United States Championship is the only current main roster championship that has never received an update since it was re-commissioned in WWE back in 2003, though John Cena did use a custom spinner U.S.

title during his run in 2004.

New WWE United States title revealed

WWE has been hit-or-miss with championship reveals as the 2016 rollout of the Universal Championship led to enough backlash for fans to heckle the title throughout its inaugural match between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor.

Rollins himself commented on fan reaction to the title, telling the Barclays Center “you really let me down”. This continues WWE's trend away from traditional championships with a nameplate in the front. Instead, the side plates will display a logo unique to the titleholder.

The look is bound to be polarizing among fans given how much of a departure it is from the previous incarnation. Over time, the WWE Universe will probably grow accustomed to the revamped U.S. Championship. MVP got to christen the design, but he still has the small matter of actually wresting the belt away from Crews on July 19.

This resulted in a new match added to the Horror Show at Extreme Rules. Apollo Crews will defend the United States Title against MVP. Then he got around to unveiling the new WWE United States Championship.
