Rey Mysterio blasts Seth Rollins on social media for attack on son

Dominick Mysterio's first night as WWE Superstar on the recent episode of Monday Night Raw was certainly not the best but instead saw the WWE legend's son being smashed to the ground after taking 30 Kendo Stick hits from Seth Rollins.

This prompted his father, the legendary Rey Mysterio come up with an angry retort against Rollins. This was certainly one of the most brutal segments in Raw's recent history and represents an important segment in the storyline ahead of SummerSlam's challenge between Monday Night Messiah and Dominick.

Through the world of social media Rey Mysterio, who has been currently out of action right after the Extreme Rules match against Rollins, commented on reacting vehemently after the heavy attack on his son. Predictably enraged, the Mexican-born wrestler said Seth Rollins will pay for what he did.

Here is the tweet with which Rey Mysterio commented on the latest events of the red show: "You took this to another level @wwerollins You will FKN pay for this!!" After officially becoming a WWE Superstar, Dominick Mysterio also got a particular concession from Seth Rollins: the wrestler said that SummerSlam will be allowed to Dominick to use weapons.

In this way, the very young talent will have the opportunity to take revenge after the attack suffered last night. As for Rey Mysterio, the wrestler is now a long way from the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) since SummerSlam's last Eye For an Eye match.

In this period, in reality, Rey has negotiated the renewal of the contract with the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE): according to sources close to WWE the parties have found an agreement and the return of the wrestler seems obvious, perhaps in the next Raw shows before WrestleMania.

In fact, during the last episode of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Rey Mysterio will remain loyal to WWE and will not accept the long courtship of the other Federations interested in him, namely All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

Dave said, "I can't officially announce it but Rey Mysterio will stay in WWE. His line worked and a key part of the deal was the situation surrounding the wrestler's son, Dominick."
