Gerald Brisco is a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the oldest WWE employees. He was recently released after spending nearly 36 years of his life working for WWE. 36 years is a really long time for a WWE employee. This was one of the reasons why he is in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Gerald Brisco Comments on Being Released from WWE
Brisco was a talent scout. He started scouting for WWE in 2010. He revealed that he was released on Twitter. CEO of WWE Vince McMahon called him to tell him that he is no longer required.
This is one of the weirdest releases ever. "Ok, want to get this out the right way. Last night I received a call from @wwe Chairman Of The board @VinceMcMahon to let me know after 36 years of dedication to @wwe i am no longer needed.
I'm ok with this. I will still be around to help talent. More info will follow. Thanks," Brisco wrote It was reported in April that Brisco was released as part of the budget cuts. WWE released a large number of superstars and employees in April to reduce monthly costs.
Due to the pandemic, WWE did not require a big staff as most of the shows were taped. The shows took place inside an empty arena as due to the pandemic, people were not allowed to gather. However, the WWE appears to have completely parted ways with Brisco.
The Brisco Brother started working in 1984 as wrestlers. They were in-ring talents but decided to retire in 1985.. Geralt then began working as an agent. He was at one time one of Vince’s “stooges” and it was one of his most popular roles.
WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson was with him during that time in the Attitude Era. Gerald Brisco also won the 24/7 title this year on the RAW Reunion show. He is the third person to win the 24/7 title as well as the WWE Hardcore Title.
Many WWE employees left the company after the pandemic, and surprisingly WWE let go of some of its popular WWE superstars as well. In fact, Rusev was released as part of WWE’s budget cuts in April as well. He is now MIRO and made his debut this week at All Elite Wrestling.
Many popular WWE personalities such as Ranee Young have also left the company. Reportedly, most people that leave the company simple leave it as they are not happy with the WWE locker room environment or the creative team.
