In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about the WWE creative process and how it all changed after the replacement as head of the Monday Night Raw team, with Paul Heyman being dismissed as Executive Director and with Bruce Prichard and Vince McMahon who instead took over the whole situation, both on Raw and Smackdown.
Apparently, in addition to the two historical faces behind the scenes of WWE, several other well-known faces have come to support the new head of the creative team and the Chairman, with Edge and Daniel Bryan, two athletes still active in the WWE rings (although the Canadian is still far from the square due to a bad arm injury), who now also belong to the "advisors" to whom the creative department of the company asks for help when it needs new ideas.
Apparently, according to what has been revealed by the well-known overseas site Ringside News in the past few hours, initially the two historic athletes of the company were used together to help the creative teams of both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, for a while.
Edge and Daniel Bryan get new responsibilities in WWE creative
By this time, the services of the two would have been separated and associated with their respective rosters, with Daniel Bryan currently in charge of the blue show plans and with Edge in charge of those of the red show.
For the moment, it is unknown why WWE separated the work of the two, but apparently the situation would be final, with Edge working from home in a conference with the rest of the Raw team, due to the injury to the arm not yet healed and with Bryan who would do the same with the Smackdown team, although he stayed home by personal choice and not due to an injury or physical disability.
Recall that Daniel Bryan and his wife Brie Bella became parents for the second time alone in a few months, with the athlete who therefore chose to stay with his family in a difficult historical moment like this of the pandemic.
Edge is involved with the Raw brand, and Daniel Bryan is helping out with the SmackDown side of the writing. We exclusively provided a detailed report about their roles in WWE when they took on positions on the writing team.
Right now Edge is recovering from his triceps injury, and Daniel Bryan is enjoying a sabbatical with his growing family. They are still able to attend meetings remotely. Neither needed to ever travel to the office in Stamford on a regular basis to perform their writing duties.
