Update on Bayley's future

After some time the WWE seems to have closed the storyline that saw Bayley struggling with Sasha Banks at the moment. The former Smackdown women's champion intervened through social media and admitted that the feud with Sasha is firm.

Here is his specific message: "FOR NOW ... I'm done with you !!! But it's not over until I say it's over. After all, I was always at my best without you and for now, it's over!" Sasha Banks overcame her "curse" by defending the title of champion and kept the title in the rematch against her former friend.

Carmella's return has led The Legit Boss towards a probable new feud and among the creatives, there is the idea of having a new and improved Carmella in a match valid for the title with Sasha Banks.

Backstage news on Bayley

As far as The Role Model is concerned, it seems likely that it will be used in the members of Team Smack for the traditional female Elimination Match: at the moment the blue brand includes only Bianca Belair and Ruby Riott but the federation has at least three other slots to fill.

The situation is different on Monday Night Raw as in the red show the RAW team already includes Nia Jax, Lana, Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose and Shayna Baszler. After this eventual landing at Team SmackDown, the plans for Bayley appear quite interesting as WWE could lead to a storyline between her and Bianca Belair.

Speaking to Ryan Satin with Fox Sports, Belair in fact declared: "I want to challenge Bayley because, I remember, when she was the champion, she was everywhere and kept trolling me on Twitter. So I want to try to fight her even if I'm also watching Sasha.

We know that Sasha Banks has something that I want so much now." Bayley has established herself a lot throughout her WWE experience and even after the Survivor Series, big plans are in store for her. Sasha Banks and Bayley, two of WWE’s 4 Horsewomen, have also been, their greatest workhorses for the last few months.

The pair have carried the promotion to some of their best ratings in the last few months. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that their last clash on SmackDown last week drew over 2.5 million! This is the highest number in wrestling around the world since March!

This is pre-pandemic numbers and proves that the audience is still there if the promotion provides them with the right content. Unfortunately for the WWE, the numbers saw a decline as the show continued. Sasha Banks successfully defended her title for the first time against Bayley last Friday.

The SmackDown women’s champion will now feud with the returning Carmella. However, considering the huge interest in her feud with Bayley, it will be interesting to see if the WWE revisit the feud once again come Wrestlemania.
