Sasha Banks recently spoke in an interview with Digital Spy and covered various topics. During the interview, the female champion talked about Pay per View Evolution, a pay per view that characterizes only women and the desire to see another show of this magnitude.
The first event took place in October 2018 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, held in Uniondale, New York. Recently, towards the end of 2019, Stephanie McMahon confirmed that another such show will be held and that they are pushing to make it happen.
The pandemic, the stop to the public in the wrestling rings, has led to the stoppage of this show this year, but at the same time, there are some who consider this show feasible as even today the WWE organizes other PPV events in the ThunderDome.
Sasha Banks wants an Evolution 2
During the interview, The Legit Boss came back to this topic and commented: "I absolutely want the Pay per View Evolution to be repeated again. It's something that I think is really incredible for both women in general and all fans and I don't understand why they still have to repeat it a second time.
I definitely think WWE has thought about it, it will happen in the future and every time it will always be better than the first time." Sasha Banks is certainly one of the wrestlers of the moment in the female roster and during this interview, she also talked about the feud with her now "Ex friend" Bayley.
Here are his statements: "Five years of this journey, this long friendship, great growth and we have reached the clash with Bayley. I have to say it was everything I ever wanted. I needed a year-long storyline where my character had to undergo some sort of makeover.
The feud between me and Bayley was long and I was inspired by Trish Stratus and Mickie James." WWE top women wrestlers, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are both out of WWE. This could be one of the reasons why Evolution PPV has not happened this year.
As it seems like WWE focused their whole women’s wrestling behind these two wrestlers. Even though Bayley, Sasha Banks and Asuka are currently the top women in Smackdown and Raw. It is not the other members' fault that they haven’t been pushed since the departure of Flair and Lynch.
As there are a lot of women wrestlers that just aren’t used on the roster and if they never feel like it’s going in the right direction, for example, breaking up the Iconics without a plan in place for them. An Evolution 2 PPV could bring more focus to the unused members of the roster.
Then making a yearly event. To give the large roster a chance to shine in their own PPV. That shouldn’t take them away from other PPV’s in the future.
