As we unfortunately had the opportunity to follow during the tragic story linked to the disappearance at sea of the former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard, in the end unfortunately we also had the obligation to report the worst news that could be expected in a situation like that, or the death by drowning of the former wrestler who gave his life to save that of his son.
Shad Gaspard walked away at the age of just 39, with a truly heroic last act that saved his 10-year-old son, instead putting his life at risk and losing this latest battle. Immediately after the death of the athlete also seen on the WWE rings, several public figures, including the WWE Superstars, wanted to express all their pain and condolences towards the untimely and tragic death of the young boy, with several athletes of the McMahon who also helped pay the funeral expenses for the former colleague.
For some years now, WWE has established a particular award to be awarded to one of its Superstars or to some other member of the community, who has distinguished himself from the others with some brave or heroic act, which takes the name of "Warrior Award" and is therefore dedicated to the late WWE Ultimate Warrior athlete.
At this point, after the death of teammate Shad Gaspard, JTG also wanted to draw the attention of WWE to the heroic death of the teammate of the Stamford company rings.
JTG on Shad Gaspard
JTG said that he thinks about Gaspard every single day and that Shad Gaspard was one of the best men he’d ever known.
“I don’t know if a lot of people know this but me and Shad were best friends. We were like brothers. You know, we were pretty much like family. I spent a few Thanksgivings with him and his family. If I had an issue or financial problem or if I just had like personal problems, you know, he was there for me.
He was always there for me. I remember when I was going through my separation from my ex-wife. He could tell. We’ve been around each other for so long that we just know when something’s wrong. I was trying to hold it in but he got it out of me.
We went to the gym and I was out of it and he was like ‘Come on, let’s go. We’re not working out right now.’ We went to the beach and he was like, ‘Let it out. Let it out, talk to me.' ” JTG said that Shad helped him move forward in a good way, and that was just one of many moments where Shad pushed him forward in life.
