Vince McMahon's thoughts behind sending Keith Lee to the PC revealed

There was a time when Keith Lee was the best Superstar in all of NXT, and there was also a time when his arrival on Raw seemed to presuppose a big launch for Blackzilla. Then something broke, and his presence on the upper-middle floors of the main roster gradually faded.

Until the news, in many ways disconcerting, of the decision of the WWE to also include his name among those of the athletes sent back to the Performance Center to "refine" But why does Keith Lee's name also appear on the list? A question that seems to have been answered in these hours, and the person responsible is - needless to say - Vince McMahon himself.

Ringside News reported trying to ask around for this decision, and the popular American website learned from its WWE sources that many were "baffled" even within the company. Apparently, however, very simply Vince McMahon "doesn't see the spark in him"

Clearly, Vince McMahon isn't the only one with a say in WWE, and he can't have been blinded to Keith Lee's huge popularity. According to Ringside News, however, those he trusts most among WWE executives are and remain Bruce Prichard and Kevin Dunn.

And the source on the American site reports that both believe Keith Lee has enormous possibilities, but still needs to work to perfect himself. 'Ringside News', however, has also learned that a decisive role may have been played by the absence of the public in recent months.

A situation that would perhaps have changed in the presence of the fan choirs. "We don't work in front of a live audience. So Vince can only rely on what his feelings suggest. Or, at the limit, on what Kevin Dunn says about the earphones," explained the source inside WWE.

Keith Lee has gone from strength to strength since his breakout performance at Survivor Series 2019. In 2020, Keith Lee became the first Superstar to simultaneously hold the NXT North American Championship and NXT Championship.

After losing those titles, Keith Lee was moved up to the main roster and joined RAW after SummerSlam 2020. After impressing the fans with his performance in NXT, WWE's presentation of Keith Lee on the main roster was criticized by many.

Even though Keith Lee won a big match at Payback by defeating Randy Orton, his booking on the main roster has been inconsistent. After feuding with Braun Strowman, Keith Lee qualified for Team RAW for Survivor Series 2020 and had an impressive showing at the PPV, helping his team defeat SmackDown.

He was part of a triple threat match on RAW with the winner qualifying to challenge WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, which AJ Styles won.
