Madison Rayne Reportedly Leaving Pro-Wrestling

Popular Impact Wrestling Talent, Madison Rayne might be leaving the professional wrestling industry for good. Impact Wrestling is one of the top 5 wrestling promotions in the world. They were known as TNA during their early days.

After the WCW was bought by Vince McMahon, TNA was the only real alternative that wrestling fans had. For a long time, TNA/Impact Wrestling lived under the shadow of WWE. Impact Wrestling even managed to sign some top stars such as Booker T, Christian Cage, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Mick Foley.

However, they could never match WWE in ratings.

Madison Rayne Set to Leave Professional Wrestling

Impact Wrestling has produced a few veteran wrestlers and talents such as AJ Styles. Madison Rayne is one of the other well-known talents that Impact Wrestling has.

She worked for Impact Wrestling as a color commentator and performer, alongside Josh Mathews. Josh is a former WWE employee. According to a report by PWInsider, Madison Rayne will quit the professional wrestling business for the foreseeable future.

She will have a full-time job according to the report. The full-time job will reportedly not be anything related to professional wrestling. Over the years, we have seen many professional wrestlers and wrestling personalities switch careers.

However, it hasn’t always turned out well. It also makes very little sense for veterans to switch careers and move to a brand new industry which may or may not value them. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Impact Wrestling is looking for someone to replace her as a color commentator.

Madison Rayne started her Impact Wrestling career in 2009. Before joining Impact Wrestling, she used to work for Shimmer and Wrestlicious. She had a few runs with ROH as well. She appeared in the Mae Young Classic in 2018 and lost to Mercedes Martinez during the first round.

She started working for Impact Wrestling again in 2019 right after her ROH contract expired. Madison Rayne was well-known for being one of Impact’s top Knockouts at one time. She won the Knockouts title a total of 5 times.

She also won the Knockouts Tag title 2 times. This will be another blow to Impact Wrestling. Impact Wrestling did not do as well as WWE or AEW after the pandemic hit. Also, AEW is, without doubt, a bigger promotion as they are backed by a billionaire and most wrestlers will join AEW or WWE the first chance they get.
