Big Show still wants a match against Shaquille O'Neal

Avid wrestling fans will remember well that WWE had plans to hold a spectacular match between Big Show and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal after the two giants had a face-off during Andre the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32.

Plans for WrestleMania 33 eventually fell apart, without Vince McMahon's company ever providing an official explanation for what happened. However, Big Show never quite dismissed the idea of a meeting with Shaq in the near future.

In a lengthy interview granted to WWE UK a few hours after Raw Legends Night, the seven-time world champion had a lot of discussion on this issue.

Will WWE ever allow a match between Big Show and Shaquille O'Neal?

Big Show hasn't let the idea of the match against Shaq die as he recently sat down and chatted with WWE UK about a variety of topics.

They included what his perfect WrestleMania scenario would be, and that involves Shaquille O'Neal. "Let's see. In a perfect scenario at WrestleMania, it would be Big Show versus Shaquille O'Neal. That would be a perfect scenario.

Because we never really got to make that happen. That's one of those stones I'd like to get out of my shoe and settle that, 'Who's the best big man', period. It's certainly nice to see that Big Show still wants this match to happen, but in the grand scheme of things right now, it doesn't seem likely for a variety of reasons out of control of the "World's Largest Athlete"

Not only is Shaq doing things with AEW, but he is also currently under a new contract with Turner Sports, who own the channel that All Elite Wrestling broadcasts its weekly television show AEW Dynamite on. Show reiterated that he will not be retiring anytime soon and would still be interested in being part of a title feud in 2021.

“I have often been asked if I was still interested in competing for a title. I can answer that in 2021 I will go hunting for this opportunity. I keep fighting because I enjoy it and also because I'm very good ”.

The eleven-time duo champion has also selected the greatest superstar of all times: "In my opinion, the best ever is certainly The Undertaker. I don't think there has ever been anyone who has impacted himself and for so long.

It is not only what he has done in the ring, but also how he has shaped so many young talents over the years. The commitment he put into the development of our sector has raised the bar to a crazy level."
