In the night that ended a few hours ago, WWE like every Friday aired its weekly episode of Friday Night Smackdown from the FOX television screens, with the episode of this Friday's blue show that was full of surprises, with fans who they weren't expecting many of the segments that the federation thought of staging from Orlando's ThunderDome.
If to close the show we thought the sensational name that will challenge Roman Reigns in a match titled at the Royal Rumble, or that of Adam Pearce, the officer of the WWE who was inserted in the evening by force in the gauntlet match valid for the n°1 contender, during the show, there were other big events that left the fans speechless, such as the title change that arrived in the middle of the evening, when two new pair champions were crowned in the Smackdown rings.
In a very intense match that had already been announced on the eve of the blue show and had therefore not been organized at the last second, as often happened in the last episodes of Smackdown but also in those of Monday Night Raw, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler finally managed to beat the reigning champions, the Street Profits.
The long reign of the former couple of NXT, in fact, went on for months, with the two who were first couple champions of Monday Night Raw and then with the Draft they took delivery of the New Day belts, which at the time were the champions in charge at Smackdown, with the very first official belt exchange in front of WWE cameras that made the history of the tag team category its own way.
Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode win the Tag Team Championships
After the sensational victory of the duo formed by the Canadian and the American of the blue show, it seems that the storyline that currently sees the Street Profits being in a feud with the new couple champions is anything but over, with WWE now inventing something again to stage a new rematch for the former couple champions of the federation's Wednesday night yellow show.
If you look at everything Dolph Ziggler has achieved in WWE, through his tenure, and then add everything that Robert Roode has done during his time in TNA, you have two potential WWE Hall of Famers, in their respective promotions, at some point in the future.
Even though Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode have been teaming for a while now, they have just seemed directionless until recently. Both of these two men are far too talented to just be sitting on the sidelines, doing nothing at all, and hence, this is probably an attempt to remind the WWE Universe, why they are two of the best in the business.
One of the major issues with the current WWE roster is the wealth, the overabundance of talent, because of which Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, each a top star in his own right may have to wait for his time.
