Rey Mysterio hints at major betrayal in 2021 WWE Royal Rumble

There are now about two weeks left until the long-awaited day of the Royal Rumble, the first major event that the WWE will hold on January 31, 2021, and which will see 30 of the best wrestlers in circulation in Vince McMahon's federation in the ring together.

The names of all the participants are not yet known but there continue to be interesting stories regarding the two rosters. The Mexican-born wrestler Rey Mysterio is certainly one of the legends of the WWE and although his presence in the Royal Rumble has not yet been announced, it has been discussed the possibility that Rey could also duel with his son Dominik, also present in the federation.

In the course of an interview with the microphones of The Bump Rey Mysterio spoke in general first of all that his son certainly did not want to cause him the defeat against King Corbin at Friday Night Smackdown, but at the same time, he had a curious answer regarding the possibility of meeting Dominick in the Royal Rumble with the two present with 28 other wrestlers.

Who could Rey Mysterio face in the Royal Rumble?

Here are his words: "Eliminate Dominik from the Royal Rumble? Yes, I should immediately throw him out of the ring, it must be done! Alas there are no other options, either I go out or he goes and so I have to think in this light and no other" While Dominick has never participated in the Royal Rumble in his career, Rey Misterio has participated in 11 editions and the most famous one is certainly the one in 2006 where Rey won, coming out as second participating and arriving in the final against Randy Orton.

It was a big win for Rey, who, as reported recently by former WWE wrestler Chris Masters, would have come in any case even without the tragic death of Eddie Guerrero, who arrived shortly before. Here are his words: "Wrestlemania wasn't supposed to face Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon, but Eddie Guerrero was supposed to be Vince's place.

I believe that Rey Mysterio would have won the Royal Rumble in any case, regardless of Eddie's tragic death." Rey Mysterio has competed in 11 Royal Rumble matches in his WWE career. His most famous Royal Rumble appearance came in 2006 when he outlasted 29 other men to win the match.

Dominik has never competed in a Royal Rumble. The 2021 WWE Royal Rumble will take place on January 31. Although Rey Mysterio has not officially been announced for the Royal Rumble, there are still 21 spots left in the men’s match.

Daniel Bryan, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Otis, The Miz, Jey Uso, Cesaro, and Jeff Hardy are the confirmed entrants so far.
