In the last hours, as every year, the return of the Royal Rumble has obviously started, with the most disparate names of former WWE athletes who would have been approached by the insiders of the various internet and press sites to a possible surprise entry of the two Royals Rumble of the federation, both male and female.
After reading the names of several former athletes who could return or even make their debut in the McMahon rings on January 31st, such as CM Punk and Jay White, now the names of Brock Lesnar and the other former fighter of the UFC Ronda Rousey.
If Brock Lesnar has been missing from the WWE rings since the last edition of Wrestlemania, the one that aired entirely from the Performance Center almost a year ago, Ronda Rousey's face has not been seen in Stamford for almost two years, with the last match of the Baddest Woman on the Planet which dates back to the first edition of the Showcase of the Immortals, where she lost her title to Becky Lynch.
Brock Lesnar in WWE in 2020
To give a clue to fans on the possibility that the two great fighters can return to fight in that of the Royal Rumble, the Wrestling Observer site thought about it, which through two different updates took stock of the situation of the two.
For Ronda Rousey, Dave Meltzer said: "Rousey is currently not scheduled to make a Rumble appearance. Ronda is still under contract with WWE until April 10, which could be Mania Day 1. She obviously could also sign a new contract if both parties agree.
”As for (Brock) Lesnar, Meltzer reported: "The only thing that is known at the moment is that Lesnar is no longer under contract or planned for the show." In both cases, however, WWE would easily be able to keep the possible leak under control, given that only three people should know of the return of the athletes mentioned above: Vince McMahon, Bruce Prichard and the athlete himself.
In this way, the only ones who know what the plans will be for Rumble and therefore also those for Wrestlemania, within the creative team and the backstage of WWE, will be only the main directors and no one else. It is therefore probable that if the WWE has organized a huge return with one of the two athletes, or even with both, it will not be known until it is broadcast live, with the sound of the siren that marks a new entry in the Royal Rumble match.
