In the last episode of Monday Night Raw, after months of absence, the Rated-R Superstar Edge returned to the red show which, via satellite, announced its entry into the Royal Rumble. In a video, Edge wanted to send a clear message to all opponents and made it clear that he intends to win what will be the first major event of this 2021 in the world of wrestling.

The initial plans, according to some rumors, included a match at WrestleMania between Edge and Randy Orton, yet another revenge in their feud but apparently the plans were abandoned and Edge could therefore compete for one of the titles of the main roster, fighting on Raw or SmackDown against Drew McIntyre or Roman Reigns respectively.

Who could Edge face at WrestleMania?

During the Wrestling Observer Newsletter the well-known colleague Dave Meltzer made a point about the situation in view of WrestleMania. With Randy Orton probably also involved in WrestleMania 37 in the now eternal feud against The Fiend (we are talking about a Firefly FunHouse Match) for Edge it seems possible a match for the title against one of the two champions.

Edge's Raw promo looks like a clear hint of a future for the title and both Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre are warned. With Daniel Bryan who, whether he wins or not, seems to be headed towards a clash against Roman Reigns the Rated-R Superstar could instead challenge The Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre or he could work on a 'Spear vs Spear' match starring the Canadian superstar against Reigns or possibly Goldberg.

Winning the Royal Rumble will certainly be very difficult for Edge who, as announced tonight by the federation of Vince McMahon at WWE Backstage, will be the one who together with the great enemy Randy Orton will open the Royal Rumble, respectively with the entry numbers # 1 and # 2.

Through social media, Edge has left a clear message these days: "A year ago. It seems like a decade, doesn't it? Last year the story was once in a lifetime. It would make no sense to try to recreate it this year. Impossible. I don't have you there.

This year my path is different. I'm not just happy to be back. I want back what I've never lost and it all starts this Sunday "(Edge refers to the title vacated due to injury in 2011). If Daniel Bryan is set to face Roman Reigns, Edge would likely challenge The Scottish Warrior at WrestleMania. However, there is also a possibility that WWE may be planning a 'Spear vs Spear' battle between Reigns and Edge.
