There is a lot of anticipation around this year's Royal Rumble (our predictions here), both for the male and female match. Despite the lack of public, which at the moment is always virtual thanks to the ThunderDome technology, the event could offer great surprises.
Natalya, however, may have revealed one. On Instagram she has in fact published a story with the Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, with the following caption: "I can't wait for this Sunday to arrive" The former champion was then quick to remove it, but several fans managed to save a screen and post it on social media.
Very likely, therefore, that the Canadian fighter can also take part in the Rumble.
Natalya will be an entrant in the Women's Royal Rumble
In a match that aired last night during WWE Backstage, Natalya faced Tamina Snuka and thanks to her victory she earned the chance to enter the Royal Rumble with the number 30.
As for the all-male match, however, it was announced that Randy Orton and Edge would be the first two wrestlers to make an entrance. The two superstars will then have the opportunity to rekindle their rivalry after what happened last summer in Backlash.
The Rated R Superstar is ready to do anything to win the Rumble again and has promised to regain the title she never lost. John Cena's father, on the other hand, wanted to bet everything on The Fiend's victory, currently absent after the fiery finale of the match against Orton at TLC.
We could also see the return of Seth Rollins, out of the scene since November, and even Lars Sullivan could once again appear. Even the official BT Sport account wanted to play with fan speculation, posting a weird graphic that created even more hype around tonight's big event.
We just have to wait and see how the plans for WrestleMania 37 will begin. As for Trish Stratus, she has competed in the Women's Royal Rumble in the past and has had strong showings. Trish Stratus last wrestled at SummerSlam 2019, where she lost a singles match to Charlotte Flair via submission.
Judging by the fact that Natalya deleted the story, it seems highly likely that Trish will be a part of the Women's Royal Rumble match. The match features a who's who of WWE's finest female competitors. There are a bunch of strong contenders who could realistically win the match, but it would be a surprise for the ages if Trish shows up and ends up winning the whole thing.
