WWE's first big Big Four has now gone to the archives, with a very special edition of the Royal Rumble that this year aired for the first time without a live audience, like all previous PPVs, due to problems linked to covid-19 infections, which for the moment did not allow WWE to invite a real audience to its shows.

Despite the construction of the ThunderDome in Orlando and then in St Petersburg, the WWE still had to do without one of its strongest points, with the Royal Rumble still giving great emotions to fans around the world, with two winners of the respective royal fights that are loved by the public and with other titled matches that left the fans speechless.

One of the most anticipated matches from the WWE Universe, in fact, was one of these titled contests, which saw the reigning WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre clash on one side and the WWE Hall of Famer and former Universal Champion, Bill Goldberg on the other.

In a contest where many were terrified by which the 55-year-old Goldberg could come out the winner, however, it was the Scottish wrestler from Monday Night Raw who prevailed, in a quick match that saw several reversals in the face, but that in the end after several finishers instead crowned McIntyre, once again WWE Champion.

The challenge was born in Raw Legends and the two athletes have seen little in the meantime due to the infection from Covid which had hit the reigning champion even if without symptoms.

During the night, Drew McIntyre immediately got off to a flying start, with a head and a Spear stolen from his opponent, which immediately made Goldberg realize that things were going badly. A Spear from Goldberg put things back in order, which launched the WWE champion against the barricades of the ThunderDome, destroying them.

After countless finishers both on one side and the other, in the end a well-placed Claymore was needed to put the famous pin of three, which was the second of the match. Drew McIntyre has solidified himself as one of the best WWE Champions in recent memory.

Following his massive win at Royal Rumble tonight, it is very likely that he will head into WrestleMania 37 with the WWE title around his waist. It is to be seen who will face him at the event, the answer of which we could get as early as after the men's Royal Rumble 2021 match tonight.

There are several contenders from Monday Night RAW who can win the match and challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.
