In the last edition of the Royal Rumble, we saw many important returns and many uses of athletes from NXT. Among these, we also find that of Toni Storm, author of a good performance in the female royal brawl that saw Bianca Belair triumph.
Her work caught the attention of Natalya who posted on her Instagram profile a photo taken in the backstage with the athlete born in New Zealand, tagging in the description the WWE patron, Vince McMahon, asking him to make her fight against her in the future.
WWE winner Mae Young Classic in 2018. The Canadian is no stranger to such praise. In fact, he has never lacked words of esteem for what may be the next spearheads of the WWE, a federation to which he has given so much and in which he has received, perhaps, too little over the years, according to what believed by many fans over the years on Social.
Furthermore, these words have never resulted from circumstance, also considering all the "jobs" she underwent to launch these new personalities. Natalya and Toni Storm have never met before in a single match, but only as a team.
In fact, in 2019, the two challenged each other in the match that saw team Raw and team NXT against each other at the Survivor Series. In the comments, Liv Morgan's response was not long in coming, who asked to include her in the eventual match, which at that point would become a Triple Threat.
Natalya and Toni Storm in the 2021 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble
Natalya has revealed that she is planning to ask Vince McMahon if she can face Toni Storm in WWE. Natalya was the last entry into the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble Match, having earned that spot by beating Tamina.
The veteran eliminated Lana shortly before she was also eliminated by this edition's champion, the "EST of WWE", Bianca Belair. Toni Storm, on the other hand, lasted eleven minutes inside the square, before being eliminated after some good spots by Rhea Ripley, one of last night's MVPs.
Natalya and Toni Storm have never faced each other in a one-on-one match. Their first match together came in November 2019 when Natalya represented RAW and Storm represented NXT in the five-on-five-on-five elimination match at Survivor Series.
Both women also competed in the 2020 and 2021 WWE Women's Royal Rumble matches. Another WWE Superstar, Liv Morgan, responded to Natalya’s post by asking if she can participate in the match, making it a Triple Threat.
