Drew McIntyre to release a memoir this year

The highly positive period for Drew McIntyre continues. After neatly defeating Goldberg at the Royal Rumble and retaining the WWE Championship, the Scot is preparing for a respectable editorial adventure. On Twitter, in fact, he announced the arrival of his autobiography entitled "A Chosen Destiny: My Story"

The book will chronicle his dream of becoming a WWE superstar, his dismissal from the Company in 2014, his return via NXT and his title win at WrestleMania last year, which crowned his journey. It will be released on April 22 in the UK and May 4 in America, in bookstores and online.

In Italy, however, it will be possible to buy it only through well-known e-commerce platforms. The official synopsis follows: "From an early age, Drew dreamed of becoming a WWE superstar and following in the footsteps of his idols Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker.

With the help of his parents, he trained and completed his ranks, fighting in front of very few people. He made his WWE debut at the age of 22, being named the chosen one by none other than Vince McMahon himself. Although he had fate in his hands, he let it slip before he got up and came back stronger than before."

Drew McIntyre in WWE

At the moment, plans for Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania are still unclear, but what happened on Raw on Monday night may have been a big clue. The Scotsman was in fact attacked by Shaemus, who set his sights on the WWE Championship.

Considering how Edge should face Roman Reigns at the most important PPV of the year, the challenge between Europeans could cover the main event zone of the red show. Drew has also revealed in the past that the biggest advice came to him from The Undertaker, a legend he idolized as a kid and shared the ring with several times.

Even the Scotsman had revealed how, originally, Vince McMahon wanted to send him against the Deadman at WrestleMania 26, a plan that did not materialize. Another reason WWE should go with Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania is that there really are no other options for The Scottish Warrior on RAW.

During his dominant run as WWE Champion, McIntyre has run through the entire RAW roster from Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton, to AJ Styles and even Keith Lee. It is highly unlikely WWE will do a Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre rematch at WrestleMania.

So unless they bring back The Beast Incarnate or John Cena, who else is left? Sheamus vs. McIntyre is a fresh feud and has a good background in terms of the story, so why not hold off on the match until WrestleMania?
