In the episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired in the night, Cesaro defeated Daniel Bryan once again, winning with a painful Sharpshooter, which forced the former WWE world champion to give up, losing the contest. During the match in question, Cesaro also suffered a fortuitous blow to the head, which inadvertently opened a wound in the back of the wrestler's neck, causing him to bleed profusely, so much so as to end the contest with a totally bloody part of the head.
This turns out to be the third victory in a row for Cesaro in a few weeks, with Daniel Bryan who is now also part of the creative team of the blue show and who has therefore seen fit to "give" a big push to his colleague, making himself beaten twice on the ring of Smackdown, putting aside his ego and his career, giving instead great moments to the Swiss.
Cesaro's future in WWE SmackDown
Immediately after tonight's victory, Cesaro and Daniel Bryan exchanged a very nice and very sporty gesture, with the two complementing each other, after a match that was a real gun battle equal, however, won by the WWE Swiss Cyborg.
Apparently, according to what was revealed in the last few hours by the well-known site Ringside News, WWE intends to move Cesaro to the Smackdown babyface section, with this important sporting gesture, which could have started this process, as happened with the former.
Cesaro's teammate, Shinsuke Nakamura, just a few weeks ago. According to the reporters of Ringside News, WWE would also have asked Cesaro to work more with the young talents of the company, in order to help them with his invaluable experience, going to work with them as Daniel Bryan is doing with him, trying to send them as many overs as possible with the public.
To increase the status of the growing young stars of the WWE, it was, therefore, necessary to raise that of Cesaro too and in this juncture, Daniel Bryan has been very important in the last two months. Cesaro's contract with WWE was expected to expire sometime after WrestleMania 37.
However, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that does not mean that he is leaving WWE anytime soon. It appears that the Superstar has agreed to a new contract with WWE. Now that he may be in line for a push in WWE, Cesaro could easily become one of the biggest stars in the company heading into WrestleMania.
Whether that happens or not remains to be seen, but for the first time in a long time, The Swiss Cyborg's future on WWE SmackDown is extremely promising.
