In the last episode of Monday Night Raw, we saw a segment that literally shocked WWE Universe fans and that will surely be remembered as one of the most surreal situations ever seen in a wrestling ring in recent years. During the Tag Team Match between Charlotte Flair and Asuka vs Peyton Royce and Lacey Evans after the tag that brought the latter to the ring, Lacey literally displaced all of her, first of all, her opponent Charlotte.
The wrestler has in fact warned her opponent that she could not hit her as she is pregnant with her. After a few seconds of emotion, she then looked at Ric Flair thus clarifying that the Nature Boy (obviously in the storyline) is the father of the unborn child.
Between Charlotte's incredulous eyes, the two, delighted, greeted the ring.
Lacey Evans on her pregnancy announcement
Although in the past the WWE has simulated pregnant wrestlers this is not the case: according to what reported by Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc, the storyline implied that Ric Flair is the father of the child, but the wrestler learned a few days ago about being pregnant with a new child with her husband.
This is Lacey Evans' second child as Evans already has a baby girl, often seen at ringside. Lacey Evans was supposed to challenge Asuka for the WWE women's title at Elimination Chamber, but of course, that changes all plans regarding the title on Raw.
Speaking in an interview on WWE Network microphones Lacey Evans made the following statements: "I've already said everything I wanted to say out and everyone has seen my announcement. I don't think there is any need to say more, not even your microphones.
The only thing I need to say is that I am very happy." Due to this situation, Lacey will therefore be forced to be away from the ring for quite some time. As per Wrestling Inc., Lacey Evans is legitimately pregnant. WWE learned about the same earlier today and decided to use the real-life situation in her current RAW storyline with Ric and Charlotte Flair.
Evans has been feuding with Charlotte Flair for a while now, with Ric Flair siding with her from the beginning. Flair has even helped Lacey defeat Charlotte in a singles match on RAW. Lacey Evans was originally scheduled to take on Asuka at the upcoming Elimination Chamber show, but it looks like that the match won't be happening now.
WWE has yet to reveal a replacement for Evans at Elimination Chamber, but fans can expect it to be announced very soon, as the PPV is almost on the horizon.
