Sasha Banks could make WWE history at Elimination Chamber

In recent years, WWE has accustomed us to several records that have been broken by its champions, such as the federation's longest reign of duo champions, broken by the New Day, which with a single reign has reached 483 days, or Asuka's streak, who beat anyone in recent WWE history by never being defeated until her first match against Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania.

Among the many records and firsts achieved in the last period, in recent days WALTER has also become the longest-running NXT UK champion in the history of the belt and of the WWE in general, with the Austrian champion who has in fact recently beaten his old holder, Pete Dunne, now permanently passed to the NXT USA ring.

But if that's not enough, even this year's edition of Elimination Chamber could be the perfect scenario for yet another record, which this time should involve one of the most famous and admired women of the entire world wrestling scene: Sasha Banks.

After the last episode of Friday Night Smackdown, where Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler challenged the champion of the blue show, Sasha Banks and the winner of the Royal Rumble, Bianca Belair, being defeated, WWE wanted to formalize a new match titled for the PPV which will air tonight, Elimination Chamber.

WWE added another title match to the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view

After seeing the Monday Night Raw world title match ousted, (which, however, seems to have strangely remained on the event card) due to the departure of Lacey Evans, who became pregnant for the second time, WWE had to make up for the lack of a large "pink share" in February, inserting this match valid for the couple's titles.

If Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair were to win, it would be the third tag team title win for Sasha, who would thus make history, as the only athlete to have won more titles of that kind, with two different partners. If all this were not enough, with the victory of Shasha, the girl could even enter Wrestlemania as a double champion, as happened in recent months with Asuka or Bayley.

Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks might find themselves facing off at WrestleMania. Belair won the 2021 Royal Rumble match and she has yet to pick her opponent at the show of shows. If Banks and Belair are able to win on Sunday, then The Boss will make history.

She will be the first three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, winning gold with two different partners. This situation could get even more interesting if Banks and Belair are WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on the road to WrestleMania.
