*Spoiler* Edge picks his WrestleMania opponent

The thing had been in the air for some time, but tonight, during the last PPV aired on the WWE Network, or Elimination Chamber, Edge made his long-awaited choice of the champion to challenge in the two nights dedicated to WrestleMania 37, in April.

After reviewing all the WWE rosters, going to speak first with Drew McIntyre, then with Finn Balor at NXT and finally several times with Roman Reigns at Smackdown, in the night, the Rated R Superstar has dissolved the hesitation and went directly to attack his opponent for WrestleMania, so as to immediately start a feud that will lead the two athletes to clash on the most important stage in the world, in less than two months.

After the last episode of Friday Night Smackdown, where Edge had gone to attack with a Spear, Jey Uso, only to do the same end at the hands of the Universal champion Roman Reigns, tonight at Elimination Chamber, Edge immediately managed to take revenge on the attack immediately on Friday night, hitting Reigns right after his match of the night.

After the match won by Roman Reigns against Daniel Bryan, who had managed to triumph in the evening's Elimination Chambr, which was valid for crowning the new n° 1 contender for the Universal title, the celebrations of the Tribal Chief lasted very little, with the Canadian appearing in the ring out of nowhere and hitting the Smackdown champion with his devastating Spear.

Immediately after knocking him out with his finisher, Edge then indicated the WrestleMania billboard present in the ThunderDome, so as to formalize the challenge between the two at the Showcase of the Immortals, although fans and professionals were already aware and certain how it would turn out.

It is thus made official what will be one of the main events of the show of the shows, with a challenge never seen before, which will surely keep the fans glued to the video, in one of the evenings dedicated to Wrestlemania 37, which this year will be broadcast by that famous Raymond James Stadium who had to see her protagonist already last year.

One of the most beneficial outcomes from WWE's ThunderDome era has been the reduced length of pay-per-view events. Elimination Chamber marked another good addition to WWE's recent series of pay-per-views. The event included a couple of newsworthy moments as well.

However, Elimination Chamber was one of those rare shows where fans preferred to see an extra match or two. The women's division seemed like an afterthought. The only women's match of the night was marred by a poorly booked finish. But that's just a relatively small nitpick from a predominantly enjoyable event.
