In one of the famous "pay-per-view transition", Elimination Chamber, which usually does not surprise the fans of the WWE Universe much, having to combine two Big Four as only the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania can be, the WWE wanted instead to give several hits on stage to his fans, shuffling the cards once again, in view of the airing in less than two months of the Showcase of the Immortals: Wrestlemania 37.
If on the side of Smackdown by now the most important plans would have been certified, with Edge going to attack Roman Reigns once again, after what we saw at Smackdown last week, thus formalizing his match at Wrestlemania 37 valid for Universal Championship, things seem to have gotten even more fun on Raw.
After the collection of The Miz on Drew McIntyre, in fact, fans are no longer in the skin to know how this storyline will end, in view of Wrestlemania, with the Awesome One that will now have to watch out for the full return of the former Scottish champion against him.
After Elimination Chamber: What's next for Bobby Lashley in WWE?
If what happened in the main event wasn't enough, WWE also wanted to give a surprise in the mid-carding of the red show, with Riddle becoming the new United States Champion, beating former champion Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat match.
and John Morrison, inserted at the last second in the contest. Initially, WWE had included Keith Lee in the match, but according to an update of the last second before the PPV, Lee would have been stopped in the last week for an unspecified injury, which would have forced WWE to decide the new contender to the title thanks to a match that was staged in the kick-off of Elimination Chamber and won by Morrison.
The latter was the person who pinched Riddle after Lashley literally knocked him out with his submission finisher. After using the MVP crutch to take down Lashley, Riddle managed to win the title by pinning Morrison and becoming a WWE US Champion for the first time in his career.
With Lashley dropping the United States title without being pinned, it's clear that there are big plans for The Chief Hurt Officer on the road to WrestleMania. WWE still hasn't determined who Drew McIntyre will face for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.
The company has booked Lashley to be an unstoppable force in recent months, so he would be the perfect candidate to challenge McIntyre at WrestleMania. It certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility, and you know the old saying. Anything can happen in WWE. Something might be going down in the Elimination Chamber main event.
