WWE had main event plans for Jason Jordan

One of the protagonists of the rings of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown who seemed to have a great future already written on the McMahon square, only to fall into a very difficult situation due to a bad neck injury, is Jason Jordan, two-time former champion of NXT and a twice world champion of Raw and Smackdown.

The WWE wrestler was in fact also included in a very important storyline with the former General Manager of Raw, Kurt Angle, who in the kayfabe was also the biological father of the boy, with the news that had been revealed to fans in live on WWE televisions.

Unfortunately, due to a very serious physical problem, which led Jason Jordan to have an operation on his neck, the boy had to retire in one of the best moments of his career, after even winning the couple titles with Seth Rollins, in that by Monday Night Raw.

Jason Jordan is no longer wrestling for WWE

In the last episode of the Kurt Angle Show, personal podcast of the WWE and TNA world champion, Angle wanted to go back to talking about the storyline that saw him as the absolute protagonist together with his son of storyline, Jason Jordan, with the WWE Hall of Famer who revealed: "I was excited because I wanted to be joined by Jason and Chad when they were tag team partners.

I wanted to fight and I wanted to become world champion and have them as duo champions with me, just like with Team Angle. I thought it would make a lot of sense and in the end, they decided to join him as an illegitimate child but I wasn't sure who they would choose.

They ultimately chose Jason over Chad, I'm not sure why, but I think it was politically correct. I was very happy, I was excited about this because Jason was growing up. He was on his way to the main event and then he hurt his neck and that's where the program ended.

I was stuck and without ideas, without my partner for Wrestlemania 35 because it was already foreseen that I would fight with Jason." Again, as in many other situations in recent WWE history, a serious injury has brought a great protagonist of the ring of the WWE to retire, with the examples of Daniel Bryan and Edge who, however, do not give up the hope that one day Jason Jordan will be able to return to the square that made him famous all over the world.

Kurt Angle is no longer with WWE, but he would certainly be happy to see Jason Jordan make a return to the ring. He is still with WWE and working backstage to help create content for the company in a different way. It still doesn’t change the fact that his career was cut drastically short by a terrible neck injury.
