In last week's episode of Monday Night Raw, the show's reigning champion, Asuka, was unintentionally hit in the face by her colleague Shayna Baszler, with the Japanese woman immediately losing a tooth as well, due to the kick trimmed by the ex-MMA fighter, right in the mouth of the champion.
The injury that occurred to Asuka, immediately seemed quite serious, with what certainly seemed to be a very painful situation, which led the Japanese to finish her match with one hand always in front of her mouth. In tonight's episode, the champion did not in fact appear in the rings of the WWE red show and apparently she may not be present even in the next episodes of the company's flagship show until the complete recovery of her injury.
Asuka out of action after a recent injury
Although the WWE needed its champion to carry on the storyline that will see her protagonist in the ring of Wrestlemania 37, in the last episode of Monday Night Raw, the Japanese Asuka has given up, with Charlotte Flair who has in fact carried out a promo from alone, however, naming the show's absolute champion several times, which she has been carrying on despite her entire reign for several months.
According to what was reported by Ringside News, the Japanese of Raw would still be considered still under injury, with the WWE medical staff who would not have given their approval to get the girl in the ring, until the complete recovery of the stroke suffered 7 days does.
At the moment, the physical situation of the Japanese would not have undergone updates, with a possible concussion that could have hit the champion of Raw and that could thus take her away from the ring for a long time. In this period of stop, Asuka will surely also go to have that tooth reconstructed that she lost after taking the kick in her mouth, as happened to Natalya a few years ago or to Cesaro, with both of Asuka's colleagues who lost a tooth after having suffered some fortuitous blows in the ring.
At the moment, however, there doesn't seem to be an official date for Asuka's return to the rings, but it is assumed that it doesn't take too long to see her back in the black. Asuka could always appear on television in some non-wrestling role.
The doctor would clear that. They obviously don’t want to risk any further damage to Asuka’s freshly repaired teeth. WWE Fastlane is coming up on March 21st, and Asuka does not have a challenger for the Raw Women’s Title.
She was supposed to wrestle Lacey Evans at Elimination Chamber, but that match was called off due to Evans’ pregnancy.
