In the last episode of Monday Night Raw that aired this week, WWE staged a match without disqualification between Sheamus and his former close friend Drew McIntyre, with the two giving themselves to each other with good reason, showing also the marks that had remained on the bodies of the two, after the long battle with the sound of kendo sticks, seats and steel steps.
Apparently, in one of the matches that fans thought they would initially see at Wrestlemania 37, that is the one valid for the WWE title between the Scottish and the Irish of the Stamford company, the end of the feud between the two would not have been reached, a sign that the leadership of the federation will still be staging a match between the two, as anticipated by McIntyre himself on Twitter, this time, however, not in a weekly Raw show.
We are less than two weeks away from the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania 37, as WWE Fastlane 2021 will take place on March 21. So far, the match card consists of just two matches. Fans can expect WWE to announce multiple matches in the upcoming episodes of Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown.
The announced match card for WWE Fastlane 2021 so far
Despite the initial intentions of the former WWE Champion were to dedicate himself to the new holder of the maximum belt of the red show, or that Bobby Lashley who had gone to attack him, sensationally favoring the victory with cash of The Miz, now Drew McIntyre seems to have focused instead right in the feud with his former friend, who once again, during the episode of Raw on Monday, wanted to attack him from behind, starting a fight already in the backstage.
As reported by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, a colleague of the well-known Dave Meltzer, the idea of the WWE would be precisely that of having a final showdown between the Celtic Warrior and the "psychopath" of Glasgow in the next PPV of the company, which will be broadcast on March 21st.
In fact, during one of the Observer's latest newsletters, Alvarez stated: "The idea that is currently in the works sees Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus for Fastlane." Although this small juncture seems to shift McIntyre's attention from the world title, the idea for Wrestlemania remains the same, that is to have a match titled as a cartel match at the Showcase of the Immortals, between the reigning champion Bobby Lashley and his challenger, who for the occasion will be Drew McIntyre.
Bianca Belair is set to challenge Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women's title at WWE WrestleMania 37. With WWE Fastlane 2021 being just three weeks before WrestleMania, it will be interesting to see what will happen if the two win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships together.
