After the long reign of Drew McIntyre and the very short reign of WWE Champion The Miz, WWE has a new and important reign with the era of The All Mighty, aka the new champion Bobby Lashley. After 17 years and a very long wait, the CEO of Hurt Business wants to keep this title for some time and the WWE also wants to certify him as a really important kingdom.
In the last episode of Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley paved The Miz in his rematch for the title and now the Stamford company is working on the future and in particular on who could be Lashley's rival in the Pay per View of WrestleMania 37, event of the year for all wrestling fans.
WWE has finally chosen Bobby Lashley's WrestleMania 37 opponent
During the last episode of Wrestling Observer Live Bryan Alvarez reported that Bobby Lashley's challenger at WrestleMania 37 could exit the Fastlane Main Event, pay per view to be held on March 21st.
The match in question is the Last Man Standing Match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. WWE's current plans would in fact want a match between Lashley and The Scottish Psychopath as one of the two Main Events in the Show of the Immortals while the other would be the match between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Rated-R Superstar Edge.
The plans for Wrestlemania 37 will certainly be clearer after Fastlane but in general, given the return of the public on April 10th and 11th, it seems that Vince McMahon wants an event of the highest level and with great and many matches.
The program of the two evenings is still being defined and the return of great superstars for the occasion is not excluded. For Wrestlemania 37, in addition to these possible matches, the challenge for the Smackdown women's title between the champion Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair has already been confirmed.
During the last episode of Raw, WWE announced the sale prices of tickets for WrestleMania and the highly anticipated event will be held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This year's WrestleMania is a big deal for the company.
WWE will be booking a show for a live audience after almost a year, and Vince McMahon wants WrestleMania 37 to live up to its lofty reputation. Beliefs are rife backstage that the promotion could witness several changes to the final match card.
What are your thoughts on WWE's plans for WrestleMania 37? Is Drew McIntyre facing Bobby Lashley a compelling match for the most important PPV of the year? If not, who would you rather see facing the current WWE Champion?
