Since his return to WWE last year in SummerSlam Pay Per View Roman Reigns has seen his character become more and more impressive and important within the main roster. After a short time the wrestler won the title of Universal Champion at Friday Night Smackdown and from that moment he never left it, crossing the road and asphalting any opponent who came in his way.
Starting with Jey Uso, who later became his adept in the long feud with Kevin Owens whom he beat several times using the dirtiest possible methods. With the help of Jey Uso and especially WWE Mad Genius Paul Heyman, Roman became the Tribal Chief, he also beat Drew McIntyre in a Champion vs Champion match and has now presented himself as the most important wrestler in WWE.
In recent weeks Apollo Crews has seen a real turning point for his character and even the WWE Universe has appeared curious to understand the future of the wrestler. Many are hoping for a growth of Apollo, perhaps already used by winning the title of InterContinental Champion against Big E.
Roman Reigns is currently the biggest heel in all of WWE
During an interview with Sports Illustrated, the SmackDown superstar had words to honey for the Tribal Chief of the company. Here are her statements: "Roman Reigns really did everything right.
I am watching and learning from him, he is the best. Everyone wants to be in his place, he has pressure on him but he can handle everything, watching him definitely makes me improve and I learn every time I see him fight. I would like to be a wrestler who fascinates the public and who is recognized as great as a wrestler, this is the current level of Roman Reigns and this is what I aspire to at this moment."
In January, we saw Roman Reigns and Apollo Crews speak backstage and many fans imagined that the wrestler was thinking of joining the Universal Champion faction but there were no more clues about it. Roman Reigns has been ruling the SmackDown brand ever since he turned heel at the WWE SummerSlam 2020 event.
He won the Universal title soon after returning to WWE TV, and has held the belt ever since. Roman Reigns will face WWE Hall of Famer Edge at WrestleMania 37, if he manages to topple Daniel Bryan at Fastlane 2021. Similar to Roman Reigns, Big E is currently having a great run as the Intercontinental Champion on WWE SmackDown, and will be facing Apollo Crews at Fastlane.
Many fans have been clamoring for WWE to give a major push to Big E for a while now. His Intercontinental title win over Sami Zayn was the beginning, and his fans would want nothing but to see him get pushed on the Blue brand over the next year or so, thus finally getting a shot at the top title.
