Brock Lesnar has been absent from the WWE rings for nearly a year now. The phenomenal wrestler, much appreciated by all despite his role as Heel, is absent from the ring from the match against Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania 36 and is currently Free Agent.
There are many who are waiting for his sensational return in the company of Vince McMahon, perhaps for a match against current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. The latter, The All Mighty, has long dreamed of a match against The Beast Incarnate, but one way or another, that never happened.
With the return of live fans, the WWE Universe was seriously hoping for Lesnar's return to the Stamford company, but the latest indications are far from reassuring.
Bobby Lashley will face Drew McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 37
During the last episode of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer talked about the possible return of Brock Lesnar to WWE, perhaps for a match valid for the title at Wrestlemania 37 against Bobby Lashley.
In this regard, however, Meltzer commented as follows: "When Bobby Lashley came to WWE in the past he was promised that he would have a fight with Brock Lesnar, but in the end they never did. The reality is, it's not that they didn't want to do it, they just never found a way to challenge him.
This time too it will be like this." Meltzer made it clear that Wrestlemania 37 is now less than five weeks away, and the company's plans for The Show of the Immortals have gone the other way. It was announced in the last episode of Monday Night Raw that Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre will compete for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.
The latter, however, will first be engaged in Fastlane's next Pay per View in the clash against the now ex-friend Sheamus. It is not excluded that in the event of The Celtic Warrior's victory at Fastlane WWE can change the plans and bring the Wrestlemania Main Event to a Triple Threat Match, but at the moment the chances of this happening are very residual.
Drew McIntyre will seek retribution when he clashes with Bobby Lashley for Monday Night RAW's top title at WrestleMania. The Scottish Warrior lost the WWE Championship to The Miz at Elimination Chamber after he was attacked by Lashley.
The Hurt Business member went on to attain the championship from The Miz on the red brand a few weeks ago. If McIntyre manages to recapture the title, it will be a very joyous moment for him since it will happen in front of crowds.
Before McIntyre embarks on the road to WrestleMania, however, he will have to go through the Celtic Warrior Sheamus at WWE Fastlane.
