Major match seemingly pulled from WWE Fastlane 2021

WrestleMania 37 is now less than a month away, but there is yet another pay-per-view to play on the WWE calendar before then. This is obviously Fastlane, an event that will air live from ThunderDome on Sunday evening, but the impression is that WWE has decided quite suddenly to remove a match from the show's calendar.

And to do it, at least for the moment, without too many explanations. The problem is that it was one of the narrative pivots of the entire pay-per-view. For weeks, in fact, Shane McMahon has systematically made fun of Braun Strowman in every single episode of Raw, and in fact, the same WWE had recently announced that the scion of dad Vince and the Monster Among Men would face each other in the Fastlane ring.

However, suddenly, the match disappeared from the program of the show that WWE itself offers on its website. This was noted among others by John Canton, the current owner of '' and in the past collaborator of important companies such as 'UPROXX', 'What Culture' and 'Bleacher Report'

Canton, in addition to reporting the screenshot of the Fastlane card (in which Braun Strowman vs Shane McMahon is gone), also ventures a theory. "The match was advertised for Raw.

WWE Fastlane 2021 match card so far

The announcement of the match between Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon fixed for Fastlane had arrived very recently, i.e.

in the last episode of Raw. The decision to postpone it, therefore, came just two days later. The confirmation had come with lots of graphics, after yet another attack by Shane against the Monster Among Men already during the WWE red show, where Shane had physically attacked and then also morally demolished Braun, submerging him with some quite disgusting green liquid.

Then the cancellation, quite inexplicable at the moment. If Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon had actually been withdrawn from the show, there would be five confirmed matches for the Fastlane card fixture, which we summarize in this manner: WWE Universal Championship (Edge or Jey Uso will be special enforcer): Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan WWE Intercontinental Championship: Big E vs Apollo Crews WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler vs Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus Randy Orton vs Alexa Bliss.

WWE Fastlane 2021 will also feature the newly-heel-turned Apollo Crews challenging the Intercontinental Champion Big E for his title. The Women's Tag Team Championship will also be on the line as Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler will defend their titles against SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks and the winner of the 2021 women's Royal Rumble match Bianca Belair.

The most intriguing bout on the card is arguably the intergender match between Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss. The fifth and final match announced so far for WWE Fastlane 2021 will see Drew McIntyre face his former best friend Sheamus in what will surely be a hard-hitting contest.
